Recently, Conrad Schmitt Studios share the following with us, about a recently completion renovation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located in Custer, Wisconsin.
We are excited to share the newly completed liturgical decoration at Sacred Heart, an artistic renewal that honors generations of faith and the parish’s rich Polish heritage. Light, yet rich colors lift the heart toward heaven, while a Polish inscription on the arch proclaims: ‘O most sacred heart of Jesus, in you we place our hope.’ Adoration angels frame the great arch, inviting the faithful to worship, while a star-filled sanctuary signifies the mystery of the Eucharistic sacrifice that brings heaven to earth. Directly beneath the arch, the two prominent columns feature the four evangelists, who are surrounded by intricate vine scrolls. In that regard then, this is a project that essentially involved the addition of colour, pattern and stencilling, all variables that we have consistently emphasized for their particular importance where renovations such as these are concerned.
As you consider this particular 'before and after' series, I think you will likewise agree as to how important and impactful such elements can be and, indeed, are.
