Two More Black Chasubles for the Month of the Holy Souls

Just a brief post before we leave November and the month of the Holy Souls. One of our readers sent in the following photos from the Jubilee Museum in Columbus, Ohio, where they offer various displays of Catholic liturgical art. Inclusive in their display are some very fine vestments, including these two fine specimens of black Roman chasubles.

On the front of the chasuble: "Ego sum resurrectio (et) vita" - "I am the resurrection and the life"

Another fine example with various memento mori as well as the symbol of the Easter cross -- a reminder of the hope of the resurrection
