Announcing Inaugural BC Sacred Music Symposium in British Columbia, Canada (July 20-22, 2018)

We are pleased to receive notice from the organizers of an inaugural BC Sacred Music Symposium, which will be the first of its kind celebration of, broadly speaking, the liturgical arts in Western Canada.

The event will be held at the church of Saints Joachim and Ann in Aldergrove, British Columbia, from July 20-22, 2018

The goal of the symposium is to bring together church musicians of all skill levels as well as other Catholics with a general interest in sacred music and liturgy for a weekend of instruction, collaboration and worship.

There will be an opportunity to attend practical workshops (beginner, intermediate and master levels) as well as to sit in on lectures that touch on like themes.  The experience will be combined with solemn and pontifical liturgies in both Ordinary and Extraordinary Forms as well as the chanting of the Divine Office.

Readers will be keen to know the keynote speaker and celebrant of the symposium’s principal Mass will be His Excellency Bishop Joseph Perry, Auxiliary of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Early registration for the symposium opens January, 2018.
